It’s no secret that choosing a venue is one of the most challenging parts of planning an event—especially a wedding. With dozens of people to shuffle, a lot hangs in the balance, including space, ease of access, and budget.
I mean, think about it. We’ve all been to a wedding where the dance floor was too crowded for comfort. As the night wears on, couples go from running into each other to full-fledged wiping out like dominoes. The bride’s grandmother wants to leave, but the parking lot is a mile away, and who’s sober enough to walk her to her car? It’s hard to tell.
(This drama and more for the low, low price of $10,000+ and your sanity!)
The good news is: we have a brand-new event center here in Louisville, and not only is it spacious, accessible, and affordable, but it’s also stunning.
Progress Park is both an event venue and a campground, so it’s great for all types of outdoor enthusiasts. This is your one-stop shop for a beautiful day or weekend, from weddings to family reunions, ideal for guest lists under 150 people. The gorgeous trees, walking trail, and two-acre pond also make it the perfect place for a photoshoot.
The resort has eight remodeled Airstreams on site, two homes, and a bunk home. It sleeps nearly 70 guests in total! Plus, the homes can easily be used as bride and groom suites for weddings.
Progress Park’s other amenities are incredible, too. Each Airstream and home is equipped with everything from linens to self-care items, and when booking, you also get access to kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and more. The activity options are endless, so as long as you’re checked in, you’ll never be bored.
If you’re a certified glamper, don’t worry. Each unit has a smart TV with access to both Netflix and Hulu!
I was honestly shocked at how beautiful Progress Park is. I was given a tour of the entire resort (perks of being a local realtor) and am happy to report that it’s 100% worth checking out. If you have an event coming up, particularly a wedding, start with their contact form here. And don’t forget to tell them that Neal sent you!
